About Ajinkya Joshi (tabla)
A disciple of Taal-Yogi Pt. Suresh Talwlkar, Ajinkya Joshi is a talented and promising tabla player. Originated from Pune, he started his initial training in tabla at an early age. He has accompanied his Guru in various Tabla-solo concerts all over India.
About the instrument - Sarod
The sarod is a double-chested plucked lute, without frets, and is one of the most important instruments in northern Indian classical music. It is known for a deep, weighty, introspective sound with sympathetic strings that give it a resonant, reverberant quality. It is usually accompanied by the tabla.
