The University of Hong Kong Centenary Celebrations

2011 marks the 100th anniversary of the University of Hong Kong and a series of exciting celebration activities have been planned for both the University community and members of the public.
The centenary celebrations will be officially launched in January 2011 and will continue for two years, ending in late 2012. Apart from university-oriented or academic events, there will also be activities involving heritage, community services and knowledge exchange. Additionally, the new Centennial Campus will be opened in 2012.
A briefing for the media will be held on December 15, 2010 (Wednesday), at which HKU Vice-Chancellor Professor Lap-Chee Tsui, and Professor S P Chow, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (University Relations), will outline the historical meaning of the centenary celebrations and introduce the centenary events calendar. Members of the media are cordially invited to attend. Details are as follows:
Commemorative group photo
Professor Lap-Chee Tsui and Professor S P Chow, together with staff and students, will take group photo with a 2.4m tall scale-model of the HKU 100 Logo. Photographers are advised to attend this session.
