Seminar: "The Situations of the Rule of Law in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong"
The HKU Faculty of Law Centre for Comparative and Public Law, and China Human Rights Lawyers Concern Group have co- organized a seminar to review the situations of the rule of law in Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Mainland, with an emphasis on the human rights issues.

The Association of Commonwealth Universities Conference of Executive Heads 2011
Higher Education in Hard Times - Risk, Reputation, Reform: Developing new business in a changing environment
The ACU Conference of Executive Heads 2011, organised by The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) and co-hosted by The University of Hong Kong (HKU), The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and The Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK), will be held on April 6 - 8, 2011. This Conference is also one of the HKU Centenary celebration programmes. 13 speakers from UK, Hong Kong, Australia, Malaysia, South Africa and India will address the audience and share their thinking on issues such as strategy, reputation and partnership. Plenary discussions including Creating and Retaining a Global Identity, Strategic Partnerships, Risk, Reputation and Reform in the E-Environment, Engaging with Higher Education in China and Commercialising Research will be held. Professor Jamil Salmi, Tertiary Education Co-ordinator of the World Bank will deliver a keynote in the Inaugural Ceremony.

University Artists Scheme 2011-2012 Inauguration Ceremony
The University of Hong Kong (HKU) will welcome four world-renowned artists to its University Artists Scheme 2011-2012 in an inauguration ceremony to be held on April 7 (Thursday). The four artists are Filmmakers and HKU Alumni Ms Mabel Cheung (張婉婷) and Mr Alex Law (羅啟銳), Visual Artist Mr Gu Wenda (谷文達), and Conductor Ms Yip Wing-sie (葉詠詩). The ceremony will be officiated by HKU Dean of Arts, Professor Kam Louie in the presence of Mr Daniel Chan, Managing Director, Paragon International Ltd, and various guests. The Ceremony will be followed by the Public Forum "Echoes of Memory: Days of Apprenticeship" with University Artists Ms Mabel Cheung and Mr Alex Law who will discuss their films and share fond memories of their student life at HKU.
