A Dialogue with World University Leaders: Vice-Chancellors of the University of Cambridge and the University of Hong Kong discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the higher education sector

Professor Sir Leszek Borysiewicz, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge will visit the University of Hong Kong tomorrow (April 12) and have a dialogue with Professor Lap-Chee Tsui, Vice-Chancellor of HKU and students in the Dialogue with World University Leaders - From Cambridge to Hong Kong event. In the conversation, the two Vice-Chancellors will discuss the opportunities and challenges facing universities in the UK, in Hong Kong and around the world.
How much influence do universities really have on society? Can a university's academic and research activities truly be transformational? Where should its funding come from for it to advance and excel over the centuries? How can it stay relevant and influential into the future?
Three HKU student panelists will join the two Vice-Chancellors in the discussion. This will be a unique opportunity for students and participants to learn from the insights and experience of two distinguished University leaders.
Before the event, Professor Sir Leszek Borysiewicz will meet the media for a brief interview and photo session. Details are as follows:
