Asian American Journalists Association – Asia Chapter and the Journalism and Media Studies Centre Launch First Joint “New Media Conference”

The Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) - Asia Chapter and the Journalism and Media Studies Centre (JMSC) are co-hosting the inaugural "AAJA-JMSC New Media Conference" at The University of Hong Kong.
The conference on June 11, 2011(Saturday) will examine the opportunities and transformations in journalism through panels including, "Top Tech Tools of Journalism 2.0," "The Post J-Life", "China's Great Firewall" and a critique session.
AAJA is a U.S. based non-for-profit educational organization that was launched in 1981 by a group of Asian American and Pacific Islander journalists and editors. The organization now has more than 1,400 members in 21 chapters across the U.S. and Asia. AAJA's annual conference draws up to thousands of journalists, editors and academics from all over the world.
