HKU and the University of Latvia to sign Memorandum of Understanding on Co-operation

The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and the University of Latvia will sign a Memorandum of Understanding on June 13 (Monday) seeking to strengthen bilateral relations in the field of education and scientific research.
HKU Vice-Chancellor Professor Lap-Chee Tsui will represent HKU at the signing ceremony in the presence of Prime Minister of Latvia, the Honorable Mr. Valdis Dombrovskis.
After the ceremony, Prime Minister Dombrovskis will address the participants and speak on his new book "How Latvia Came through the Financial Crisis". The book is written in collaboration with Senior Fellow of the Peterson Institute for International Economics Anders Åslund to provide a case study on the Latvian resolution to the financial crisis.
