HKU Graduate School holds Award Presentation Ceremony

A total of 56 research postgraduate students of various disciplines will receive awards on today (December 13) at the Award Presentation Ceremony of The University of Hong Kong (HKU) Graduate School. The recipients are selected based on the quality of their thesis and academic performance.
HKU Vice-Chancellor & President Professor Lap-Chee Tsui; HKU Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Vice-President (Research) and Dean of Graduate School Professor Paul Tam; Honorary Patron of HKU Foundation Mr David K.C. Yu, and HKU Associate Dean of Graduate School Professor Nirmala Rao officiated at the ceremony.
The award recipients include six students for the Li Ka Shing Prize, 10 students for the Awards for Outstanding Research Postgraduate Student, 40 students for the University Postgraduate Fellowships.
In addition, 41 awardees have received external prizes, such as the Croucher Foundation Fellowships/Scholarships, Doris Zimmern HKU-Cambridge Hughes Hall Scholarships, RGC-Fulbright Hong Kong Dissertation Research Programme Fellowships, and Hong Kong PhD Fellowships are also invited to attend the ceremony.
