HKU Council sets up task force on 818 Review Panel recommendations

The Council of the University of Hong Kong received a report at its meeting today (March 20) from the University administration on the setting up of a task force to look into the feasibility and ways of implementing the recommendations made by the Review Panel on the Centenary Ceremony held on August 18, 2011.

The task force, named Steering Committee on 818 Review Panel, will have HKU Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Roland Chin as Convenor. Other members include:

- A lay member of the Council
- The Dean of Student Affairs
- A Faculty member
- A staff member from the administrative offices of the University
- Co-opted members (students, staff and alumni as necessary)

The committee will steer and oversee the implementation of recommendations of the Review Panel and will co-opt staff, students, alumni and other experts to set up working groups as necessary for the implementation of specific recommendations.
