HKU to launch leadership training programme for the third sector with the support from The Hong Kong Jockey Club

The University of Hong Kong (HKU) will launch the ExCEL3 Project, a leadership training programme for the third sector (voluntary sector) established with the support from the Hong Kong Jockey Club, on May 7 (Monday).
HKU Council Chairman Dr Leong Che-hung, HKU Vice-Chancellor Professor Lap-Chee Tsui, and Chairman of The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) Mr Thomas Brian Stevenson, SBS, JP, will officiate at the launching ceremony.
HKU and Jockey Club are jointly presenting this 30 million-project. ExCEL3 -- "Excellence and Capacity building for Entrepreneurship and Leadership for the Third Sector" - seeks to empower the third sector for a better society. So far over 1,000 representatives from the Third Sector have participated.
This five-year project will develop various training programmes, public lectures and workshops to enhance the third sector's capacity in tackling the challenges.
