05 Jun 2012
For the third year running, HKU Taster Days brings together a group of top ranking students from some of the best secondary schools around Asia to not only taste the life of a student at Asia's leading international university but also experience cosmopolitan Hong Kong. More than 100 students from 10 countries and regions around Asia will from June 4 to 7 participate in a four-day programme designed to give participants the exposure to diversity in knowledge to mold all-rounded individuals that are geared for the future.
This year, the programme has expanded from Engineering and Arts studies to cover also activities organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences, General Education Unit, Institute of Human Performance and Centre of Development & Resources for Students. Students will be offered a rare opportunity to dip their toes in the waters of HKU and a chance to taste what these various faculties and units can offer them.
Not only will students be provided a holistic view of education at HKU, they will also have the chance to meet new friends from all over Asia. HKU students from many different continents will be communicating with participants personally regarding their own experience at the University.
Some of the participants will meet the media after a General Education Course held at HKU Rayson Huang Theatre to share their experience.
