Lunchtime symposium on the "Fair Employment Opportunities for Rehabilitated Persons"

The University of Hong Kong and the Correctional Services Department (CSD) will jointly hold a lunch time symposium on "Fair Employment Opportunities for Rehabilitated Persons" tomorrow (June 14).
The event aims at appealing for community support for employing the rehabilitated persons. At the symposium, employers, representative from the CSD, academics, as well as some rehabilitated persons will share their experience; Head of HKU Sociology Department Professor Lui Tai Lok will release the findings of an opinion poll on rehabilitated persons' employers; Professor Karen Joe Laidler, Head of HKU Centre for Criminology, will deliver the welcome address. Rehabilitated catering trainees will be responsible for a small part of catering service on that day.
