HKU Faculty of Engineering to hold Engineering Centenary Distinguished Lecture

The Faculty of Engineering of the University of Hong Kong (HKU) will hold its Fourth Engineering Centenary Distinguished Lecture on October 5 (Friday). The lecture entitled “How we are where we are today” will be delivered by Ir Blake, Ronald James GBS, OBE, JP.
Ir Blake was Chief Executive Officer of Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation and Secretary of Works of Hong Kong Government. In the lecture, he will provide a personal overview of Hong Kong during the past fifty years and give insights into the growth of Infrastructure that stands today as one of the Territories fundamental achievements. How this success might be further taken forward, by those who would include many from the University of Hong Kong, will also be suggested towards the end of the presentation.
Professor Norman Tien, Dean of Engineering will officiate at the lecture and the newly elected Legislative Council Member, Ir. Lo Wai Kwok will be the facilitator for the Q&A Session. The lecture is sponsored by Gammon Construction Limited.
