HKU Centre for Chinese Law seminar "Where Wukan Is Going"
Villagers of Wukan impressed the world a year ago with their courageous resistance against the local government. What has been achieved over the year? Is it still meaningful to talk about a Wukan model for rural governance? Is the Wukan experience a success or a failure? The speaker Mr. Xiong Wei will attempt to answer these challenging questions. Mr. Xion, is Director of New Enlightenment, a local think tank in Beijing.
