Guangdong Party Secretary Wang Yang leads delegation to visit HKU-Shenzhen Hospital

A high level Mainland delegation led by Guangdong Party Secretary Mr Wang Yang with members including Guangdong Governor Mr Zhu Xiaodanvisitedthe HKU-Shenzhen hospital today (October 11).
During the visit, Mr. Wang said the new hospital will grow and develop to the mutual benefits of the University, the patients and people in the Mainland as a whole. It will provide a role model for medical reform on the Mainland and is a showcase of quality medical services and training and research. The project will also provide the University new ground for further advancement in its medical research, teaching and training.
They were received by representatives from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) including Council Chairman and HKU-Shenzhen Hospital Honorary Chief Executive Dr Leong Che-hung, Vice-Chancellor Professor Lap-CheeTsui, Dean of Medicine Professor Lee Sum-ping and Hospital Chief Executive Professor Grace Tang. Professor Tang took the opportunity to introduce to the delegates the work of the hospital, and the initiatives and innovations taken in its management and operations.
Other members of the delegation included Shenzhen Party Secretary Mr. Wang Rong, Shenzhen Major MrXu Qin, Vice-Minister of Education Mr. Du Yubo, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State CouncilMr. Zhoubo, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of Central People's Government in HKSARMs. Yin Xiaojing. HKSAR Secretary for Education Mr Eddie Ng Hak-kim accompanied the delegates.
