HKU Light Pollution Science Roadshow
Enhance Public’s Understanding of Light Pollution through Realtime Measurement with Cellular Phones
In support of the Earth Hour organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), the Faculty of Science of the University of Hong Kong will organize the Light Pollution Science Roadshow in the evening of March 23 (Saturday) at the Avenue of Stars, Tsim Sha Tsui, to promote the importance of dark sky and energy conservation through video show, exhibition and interactive science demonstrations.
The public will have a chance to measure realtime light pollution with provided equipment on-site. They can also check the readings of other districts with cellular phones.

“Encounters” Twentieth-century Chinese art from the Khoan and Michael Sullivan Collection Guided Tours
The exhibition is held from 23 February to 7 April 2013 at the University Museum and Art Gallery, aiming to honour Professor Sullivan’s considerable contributions as a pioneer of Chinese art history and especially the study of twentieth-century Chinese painting. The collection features in particular works that explore the relationships between western and Chinese media and expressions. Among the exhibits will be paintings by artists such as Wu Guanzhong, Huang Yongyu, Pang Xunqin, Wu Zuoren, Zhang Daqian, Qi Baishi, Zao Wuji, and Lü Shoukun; sculptors Zhu Ming and Wang Keping, as well as Hong Kong artists Wan Qingli, Chu Hing-wah, Wucius Wong, Tan Zhicheng and Nancy Chu Woo. The selection also includes two albums that were created and gifted to the Sullivans by artists in Hong Kong. Guided tours by Ms Tina Yee-wan Pang, curator of the Museum, will provide an overview of the collection.

Award Presentation Ceremony for Excellence in Teaching, Research and Knowledge Exchange 2012
The University of Hong Kong (HKU) will hold an Award Presentation Ceremony to honour outstanding teachers and researchers with University teaching and research awards for excellence in their fields. The first-ever Faculty Knowledge Exchange Award will also be presented at the Ceremony this year.

CEO Forum 2013 - Dialogue with Mr. James Thompson, Founder and Chairman of Crown Worldwide
The CEO Forum, hosted by the School of Business, will be held on Wednesday, 27 March, 2013. This year's forum features Mr. James Thompson, the Founder and Chairman of Crown Worldwide Group. The Gold Bauhinia Star winner, Mr. Thompson, will share with audience his management style, innovation strategies, and Corporate Social Responsibility approaches in an interview with Professor Ali Farhoomand.
