HKU to release 2013 Third Quarter Hong Kong Macroeconomic Forecast
A press conference is scheduled on July 4 (Thursday) to announce the "Hong Kong Macroeconomic Forecast", supplying headline macroeconomic indicators for Hong Kong's economy in the Third quarter of 2013.
Sponsored by the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Hong Kong (HKU), the forecasting project is managed and prepared by the APEC Studies Program of the Hong Kong Institute of Economics and Business Strategy. It provides the community with reliable, transparent and useful forward-looking economic information to gauge the movements and effects of Hong Kong's activities on a quarterly basis.
The forecasting system has proved to be very useful in tracking the short-term fluctuations of the economy, particularly in predicting turning points of the business cycles.

Department of Architecture Degree Show 2013
The Degree Show is an annual exhibition of architectural thesis projects produced by the Master of Architecture Degree final year students in the Department of Architecture of the University of Hong Kong. These projects represent the students’ visions of the built-environment, reflecting their concerns over our social and cultural environments, and their determination to tackle contemporary issues in Architecture with new approaches. Some of the projects concern living, working and learning spaces; spaces for traditional and contemporary arts and media; and re-definitions of the public realm.
Included in the Degree Show are graduation projects of the Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies, projects of the Master of Landscape Architecture and Bachelor of Landscape Studies degree programmes.
The exhibition will be held on 22nd June to 3rd July, 2013 in the Department of Architecture of the University of Hong Kong on third and sixth floor of Knowles Building from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm (Saturdays and Sundays inclusive).

The Lingering Rhythm of Tianfeng Studio - Artworks of Gao Qi-feng and His Seven Apprentices
Co-organized by Guangdong Art Institute and Jao Tsung-I Petite Ecole, HKU, The Lingering Rhythm of Tianfeng Studio - Artworks of Gao Qi-feng and His Seven Apprentices will commence on 13 June to 19 June at the Guangdong Art Institute, and 18th June to 26th July at the Jao Tsung-I Petite Ecole. This exhibition demonstrates the superior art accomplishment of the masters of Tianfeng Studio, and it also indicates the great significance in the development of Lingnan School painting.
On the basis of Gao's painting skills, the Seven Apprentices - Gao Qi-feng, Zhou Yi-feng, Zhang Kun-yi, Ye Shao-bing, Ho Chat Yuen, Huang Shao-qiang, Rong Shu-shi, and Zhao Shao-ang walked out of their own path and become dominant figures in the art field of Southern China, including Hong Kong. Their outstanding technique is best defined by a quote from Shitao, "My mind is in my painting".
