The University of Hong Kong (HKU) Urban Systems Institute and the Department of Urban Planning and Design will host the first International Symposium on Urban Futures with the theme "Envisaging and Creating Vibrant and Livable Urban Spaces" on August 22 (Thursday).
The symposium seeks to address the challenges faced by urban researchers, policy makers, and key stakeholders of urban development as they strive to create dynamic, resilient, and livable urban spaces, particularly in light of transformative urban growth initiatives such as the Northern Metropolis in Hong Kong.
