Fostering cultural and artistic exchange between Hong Kong and Mainland China through the most representative ethnic music and dance performances from Mongolian, Uyghur, Tibetan, Dai, and other ethnic groups.
The University of Hong Kong (HKU) actively encourages student involvement in a variety of cultural and artistic activities to enrich their cultural awareness. The Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) will present "China's Ethnic Minorities Cultural and Artistic Night", showcasing performances by diverse minority groups such as Mongolian, Uyghur, Tibetan, and Dai on October 20 (Sunday). The event will include a lecture, performances, and an exhibition.
The event will feature guest lecturer and performers from Minzu University of China, with Professor Cui Lingling as a speaker and Professor Jiang Tiehong, Associate Dean of the Dance School, leading performances by students from the Dance and Music Schools. Supported by “Chamber of Young Snow Arts Fund”, this cultural celebration seeks to promote connections and interactions through a rich mix of history, tradition, and emotion.
