The National Center of Technology Innovation for Digital Construction (NCTI-DC) has established the Hong Kong Branch at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), marking a significant milestone for Hong Kong and HKU in the innovation of digital construction management technology. This Branch is NCTI’s first sub-centre in Hong Kong and the first national engineering sub-centre of the University.
An inauguration ceremony will be held on October 23 (Wednesday). Officiating guests at the Opening Ceremony include Academician Lieyun Ding, Chief Scientist of the National Center of Technology Innovation for Digital Construction; Ms Winnie Ho, Secretary for Housing of the HKSAR Government; Ms Cheng Wu, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Educational, Scientific and Technological Affairs of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR, and Professor Xiang Zhang, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKU.
Following the opening ceremony, a two-day international symposium entitled “Digital Transformation in Construction” will be held. Esteemed scholars and experts from around the world will deliver keynote speeches, exploring the latest advancements and future trends in digital transformation within the construction industry. The symposium aims to leverage collective expertise to drive industry development.
