HKU hosts Equal Opportunity Festival 2017

HKU is hosting the Equal Opportunity Festival 2017 from October 27 to November 11 with the theme on gender issues. “CountMeIn” is the slogan used to tag on the “HeForShe” Initiative. A series of event including talks, training sessions, exhibitions, seminars, and book exhibition will be held during the period.

An opening ceremony was held today (October 27). Mrs. Stella Lau, J.P., Chairperson of the Women’s Commission was the Guest of Honour. Professor Peter Mathieson, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hong Kong officiated at the ceremony. An inauguration ceremony for the Equal Opportunity Student Ambassadors was also held on the occasion.
