The University of Hong Kong (HKU) will extend two programmes, the “HKU TPG Scholarship” and the “HKU Internship Programme” to benefit the Undergraduate graduating class of 2021.
The HKU TPG Scholarship programme encourages aspiring students to pursue graduate studies by providing subsidy to their tuition fees. The HKU Internship Programme provides a 4-month Internship opportunity on campus for fresh graduates who want to gain valuable work experience and contribute to their alma mater. Over 160 graduates have benefitted from taking part in these programmes since they were launched in 2020.
In an email congratulating the graduating class of 2021, HKU President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Xiang Zhang said: “Members of the Class of 2021, you are an exceptional cohort. I am confident that – in the true spirit of Sapientia et Virtus – you will now take the knowledge, innovation and leadership qualities you have acquired and apply them with wisdom, purpose and generosity, and make a lasting difference in the world.”
“The world has changed irrevocably, and I believe you will also be thinking about what lies ahead for you. The University is committed to finding ways to empower you to achieve your full potential, even after you have graduated.” He added.
