Generative AI is rapidly transforming the professional workplace landscape. The Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) will organise a “Career AIgnition Day” on 23 February 2024 (Friday), which features the participation of industry leaders from Microsoft, Hong Kong Science Park, LinkedIn, Ernst & Young, New Media Group and more.
As the kickstart of the Career AI Initiatives at HKU, Career AIgnition Day aims to discover the essential skills to enhance students’ employability and how to successfully transition into the dynamic workplace under the age of GenAI. Throughout the event, students will have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders and human resources professionals regarding the skills that will make them stand out from the crowd in the AI era.
In association with the Career AIgnition Day, there are more initiatives for boosting students’ opportunity and readiness including AI Industry Report for Early Careers - A comprehensive look at the role of AI in shaping future careers; and AiPEX@HKU – AI Internship Programme - The first of its kind in Hong Kong, offering practical AI sector experience.
