HKU business and economic policy seminar on crucial road and rail choices for planning HK's future
03 Dec 2005
Every year, Hong Kong's roads become more congested. Journeys take longer and travellers become more frustrated. Suggestions are many such as congestion charges, higher fuel taxes, more roads, fewer vehicles just to name a few. Sponsored by Citigroup Foundation and jointly organized by HKU Faculty of Business & Economics and SCMP, the seminar will explore whether or not the Government needs to rethink its urban planning policy to reduce population density in key areas of the city.
