Important Message from The Registrar
I mentioned in my circular to Deans of Faculties and Heads of Departments/Centres/Units on March 25, 2020 that in light of a relatively sustainable supply of masks recently secured by the University, the Task Force on Infectious Diseases would review the arrangement for mask distribution.
The Task Force has now reviewed the arrangement. Having taken into consideration of the latest virus situation in Hong Kong and the supply of masks of acceptable quality on the market, the Task Force now proposes that the University, as a one-off exercise, will distribute one box (50 pieces) of masks to each of its full-time staff. Departments and units will be informed of the arrangement for the collection of the boxes of masks in the coming week. Colleagues could collect the masks from their department/unit from April 22, 2020.
There is no plan at this stage for any further distribution of masks to staff members. The Task Force however will review the situation in June.
Thank you all and please stay safe.
With regards,
Henry W K Wai
