Former Foreign Minister of Singapore George Yeo

The University of Hong Kong (HKU)’s new Centre on Contemporary China and the World (CCCW) and the Faculty of Social Sciences co-hosted the Distinguished Fireside Chat with Former Foreign Minister of Singapore Mr George YEO yesterday (November 22).
Engaging in a dialogue with Professor LI Cheng, Director of the Centre for Contemporary China and the World, Mr Yeo shared his views on international affairs and over a book series he authored Musings Series One, Two, and Three.
Other distinguished guests attending the event included the Honourable Andrew LI Kwok-nang, former Chief Justice of Hong Kong; and Professor Ming WEN, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences.
Mr. George Yeo is a prominent Singaporean statesman and diplomat who has made significant contributions to Singapore's foreign policy and regional diplomacy. He served as Singapore's Foreign Minister from 2004 to 2011 and held other ministerial positions, including Minister for Trade and Industry, Minister for Health, and Minister for Information and the Arts. Mr Yeo is a distinguished scholar with degrees from the University of Cambridge and Harvard Business School. Subsequent to his retirement, he served as the Chairman of Kerry Logistics Network from 1 Aug 2012 to 31 May 2019. He is one of the most recognisable and renowned voices in the world on Asian geopolitics, the rise of China, and the future of Southeast Asia.
