HKU teams repeated their success of last year (when they won the AIG for the first time in ten years) by winning 12 of the 18 competitions. Final points score: HKU 32 CUHK 12. The win follows HKU's first victory against CU in six years (men) and four years (ladies) in the separate AIG rowing competition in September 2000.
Having taken a break to compete in the AIG, our men's and ladies' teams now resume defence of the Hong Kong Post-Secondary College Athletic Association (national) titles that they won last year.
