27 Sep 2014
“An HKU spokesperson” responds to media enquiries about the confrontation at the Government Headquarters:
'The University is deeply concerned about the safety and welfare of the students who joined the gathering at the Government Headquarters yesterday and today. It urges all parties to act in a civil, rational and peaceful manner and engage each other in constructive conversation.
As far as we know, eight HKU students have been arrested. We are trying to get in touch with them and offer assistance such as enlisting resources of legal advice and other help. We will try every means to facilitate the resumption of normal study life of all students.”
