Princess Loulwah A1-Faisal said that women's education is very important as a driving force in an economy. She shared her experience in the establishment of the first private high school for girls (Dar Alhanan School) and the first private college for women (Effat College) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
On behalf of the University, HKU Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor C F Lee extended a warm welcome to the Princess and the delegation. "I look forward to seeing the establishment of academic collaborations between HKU and Saudi institutions, and I am confident that, together, we will nurture and train the minds that will lead us to a much better and brighter world" he said.
Members of the delegation of professional women are all highly successful in Saudi Arabia, as academics, businesswomen and specialists in different industries such as banking, finance, healthcare, education, oil and media.

Princess of Saudi Arabia and Delegation Visited HKU

A 25-member delegation of professional women led by Her Royal Highness Princess Loulwah A1-Faisal from Saudi Arabia – one of the richest nations in the world – visited The University of Hong Kong today. Princess Loulwah Al-Faisal and representatives of the delegation gave a presentation on "women's education in Saudi Arabia" to a group of 150 students, alumni and friends of HKU.
