(Senior Staff Quarters, Elliot Pumping Station and Filters)
Grade 2 Historic Building
Built in 1923 - 1924, the Run Run Shaw Heritage House was originally the Senior Staff Quarters of Elliot Pumping Station and Filters. It was used as the accommodation quarters for the site managers, who worked at the Pumping Station and Filters for Water Supplies Department. The Elliot Pumping Station and Filters were built between 1910 and the early 1930s, and were the auxiliary waterworks of Aberdeen Reservoir to filter and channel water to the western part of the Hong Kong Island. The premises were closed down in 1993. The building is two storeys high and has two four-roomed flats with adjoining servants' quarters. It now houses the Hong Kong University Press.
